Whimsical Handmade Lampshades & Woodland Prints – Illustrated and handmade in the Cotswolds
Autumn Cosiness at Horsley Community Shop This October
The leaves are turning golden, the evenings are drawing in, and I’m starting to think about making home feel cosy for the colder months ahead. I’m delighted that my handmade lampshades are returning to Horsley Community Shop in Gloucestershire throughout October.
The display features some of my most popular nature-inspired designs: Owl, Red Squirrels and Otter. Each has its own story, drawing on my love of wildlife, the countryside and the little details that make the natural world so special.
Nature-Inspired Lighting for Cosy Homes
As the evenings get darker, a softly lit room becomes an inviting place to relax with a book, enjoy a quiet moment or spend time together as a family. An illustrated lampshade can bring warmth, colour and personality to a room without needing to redecorate.
The Owl design has a lovely storybook feel, the Red Squirrels design features autumnal oak trees and scurrying red squirrels, and the Otter was inspired by the wildlife living in the waterways near my home. I love being able to bring these glimpses of nature indoors through my illustrations.
If you're looking for nature-inspired lampshades for autumn home décor, visiting the shop is a lovely opportunity to see the colours and details in person. If another design catches your eye, you can also ask the shop about ordering other lampshades from my collection.

Shop Local and Find a Thoughtful Christmas Gift
I’m especially pleased to share my work through Horsley Community Shop, a volunteer, community-run village shop that supports local life and gives independent makers a little place to showcase their creations.
If you're beginning to look for handmade Christmas gifts in Gloucestershire, a lampshade could be a thoughtful present for someone who loves wildlife, woodland walks or illustrated home décor. My lampshades are printed in the UK on organic cotton and handmade to order, so each one is created with care.
If you're in the area this October, do pop in and have a look at my nature-inspired designs. Thank you for supporting my small business and the local shops that help our communities thrive!
